Aviemore Floral Displays

At ACE (Aviemore Community Enterprise), we believe that having a colourful display of flowers is vital to Aviemore, improving the look of our main street, creating a lovely first impression for visitors and brightening up any day for visitors and residents alike.

Last year with your help we managed to have a beautiful display, despite having had a shortfall in funding of £3000, which we met from our fundraising. We cannot sustain that again this year and will be dependent on the goodwill of our community and businesses to support the project.

We have encountered some difficulties with regards the watering of the plants as costs are rising and they need watered every 2 days to keep them looking fresh. We are also aware of the impact on the environment. With that in mind and with the existing baskets nearing the end of their natural life after 15 years of use, we made the decision to replace them with self-watering baskets. The new baskets will only need watered every five days, therefore reducing the number of trips through Aviemore in a season from 55 to 23.

Would your business be in a position to kindly donate again to this worthwhile project?

We only ask that you to donate if you believe that the flowers are a welcome addition to Grampian Road in the Summer months, and only what you can afford. We genuinely appreciate every penny we get, particularly in these tough economic times.

If you would like to donate something, you can do it in the following ways:

Direct to our bank account: Account No 00905322, Sort Code 80-05-40, Reference FLOWERS

Post a cheque (made payable to Aviemore Community Enterprise Co Ltd) to The Secretary, Aviemore Community Enterprise Co. Ltd, 16 Morlich Place, Aviemore, PH22 1TH

We can collect (cash or cheque). Please let Beth know, beth@aviemorecommunity.org and she will arrange to collect.

Please advise us by emailing chair@aviemorecommunity.org that you have donated. Remember to include date and amount paid, and if you would like a receipted invoice.

All donations are held in a restricted account for this project and will not be used for any of our other projects (unless you specifically state otherwise).
